Katarsis

when my parents were sick, I always had hallucinations hearing them calling my name,
very slowly, very quietly

their voices were muffled
as if they were speaking on a windy hilltop
but when I looked at them,
I found that they were just sleeping so peacefully,
so calmly,
and I got confused

so I went back to the kitchen,
cooked breakfast for them,
and wondered
why my mornings always felt so weird?

I said nothing,
maybe it was only my sentimental feelings.
